AGNES HERON MEMORIAL TROPHY
For many years Agnes Heron, a very active and respected piano teacher, was the greatest supporter of the Cambridge Competitive Music Festival. She regularly entered many more students in the festival than any other teacher and also provided several trophies over the years. This new trophy will ensure that her connection with the festival and her remarkable career as a teacher are not forgotten.
GAVIN RICHARDS TROPHY
Gavin Richards, Director of Music at the Perse School, has provided invaluable help in re-establishing the festival in the past four years. This trophy is a "thank you" for that help and also a recognition of the outstanding musical provision which he makes for so many local young musicians.
GERMAINE MILLER TROPHY
Germaine Miller not only sang in festival classes for many years but was also a great supporter of the festival and of amateur music-making. Her love of music remained with her throughout her life; she sang in a local choir until well into her nineties.
